Black walnut sink stand
A client in London had already acquired the sink, and approached mat dickson • furniture to provide the sink unit, mirror and medicine cabinet.
Once a design had been settled on, mat dickson • furniture constructed and fitted the units.
The sink unit has a solid walnut top with two fluted drawers and two doors below to provide access to the inside.

Douglas fir Wardrobe
This wardrobe was built on commission to fit the new requirements of the clients. They had had an old MDF wardrobe for many years, and decided to move on. Mat discussed their needs with them in detail, ensuring that they were involved in and happy with every stage of the design process.
Once the design was confirmed, mat dickson • furniture constructed and installed the piece, with striking results.

X-Chair
The X-chair, made of black walnut, provides a superb example of the way in which mat dickson • furniture can blend the best of cutting-edge contemporary with the wisdom of traditional methods. The chair is elegant, exciting and comfortable. The contrasting colours of the black walnut beside the white sued seat pads will add a note of striking beauty to any room.

Swimming Pool Changing Cubicle
This changing cubicle was designed in partnership with one of a few architects that I work with, to sit next to the client’s outdoor swimming pool.
Affectionately named “The Snog Pod” by the clients’ children.
The Cubicle consists of an Iroko slatted exterior enveloping a bent plywood inner skin and a galvanized steel faced door.
The roof is a single oval of toughened glass, angled slightly to allow water to run off down the outside of the plywood shell.
A great fun project!

This Console table is constructed in Oak and veneered in a luxurious Santos Rosewood, floating on curved black walnut legs.

Drinks Cabinet
This drinks cabinet was a project idea dreamt up by the client.
The brief was to design a drinks cabinet to house a bar style fridge for
their hunting room.
The timbers used within this cabinet are Santos Rosewood, Makassar Ebony and
Quilted Maple. Quilted maple panels in combination with the lighting on either end give a
beautiful liquid effect to the cabinet.

Captains chair
This chair is one of a pair that we made as replicas from a clients original
chair.
It is constructed in Mahogany with Satinwood panels, inlaid with Boxwood and
Walnut stringing.
The captains Chair is a real example of fine hand crafted work, and made for
a very happy client.
